The Golden Rule being...he who has the gold, rules.
Because of all the money floating around in DC, with the lobbyists waving millions of dollars of hidden kickbacks at our elected representatives, they can't do what needs to be done.
And as a result:
-we don't have universal health care
-Americans are buying prescription drugs from Canada because it's cheaper there, even though they have 1/10 of the market-size of the US!
-middle class is ever shrinking...the wealth disparity is ever widening with the wealthy amassing greater and greater wealth
-we are always in some war that is very profitable to defense contractors
-we have enough nukes to kill every man woman and child twenty five times over
-we ended up creating Israel, in spite of the objections of all the people in the region, as a way to have an ally near "our" oil, and it eventually gave us 911 and this never-ending global war on terrorism, which happens to be great for defense contractors
there is absolutely no point to our election process!...no matter who we pick, they get bought out by big money! and if they dare to buck the system, they get whacked.
and because of this paralysis, we have returned to a state of
taxation without representation
===
luckily, no revolutionary war is needed...
simply getting our representatives out of DC
or
getting the lobbyists out of DC
might fix the problem

it's like drinking and driving...they don't mix
