The Goal Atomizer

This technique helps you with your goals, and like the name suggests, breaks them down into tiny tiny baby steps...but that's not all that it does. Because it requires you to devote several minutes per day (or week, depending on how deeply you want to work this system), you benefit from a mind-set that always has your goals at or very close to your fore-front mind. Another benefit is that the reason that you have that goal in the first place is also always close to your fore-front mind.
So, to get started,
you will need, loose leaf paper, a three ring binder, and sheet dividers, or if you want to use a word processor and printer, which would be a whole lot neater and easier to modify, a three hole punch so you can insert them in your binder.
Start with one goal
Take a sheet of loose leaf paper and write the goal at the top of the sheet...then, list the things you will need to have or do, to attain that goal, beneath the heading...try to have at least five but have as many as you can think of.
then, each item that you listed, now gets it's own sheet, and write that item across the top of the page and insert that page behind the main goal, and then, on that sub-sheet, list the things that you will need to have of do, to attain it...try to have at least five...it gets tougher now, because this is not the main goal but merely an item of the main goal...but you must put down five...it's a game!...even a lame item is OK.
Now, each item on that list will get it's own sheet...so you see where this is heading?
you probably won't go very deep into a sub-sub sheet but do it anyhow...it forces your mind to work deeper...you will have to stop and talk a walk-break to do this one, because you will be wracking your brains...but play the game!
forcing yourself to work this exercise internalizes your goals
you know how much more easily you accomplish things once you put your mind to it...and so it is that Goal Atomizer helps you to do so in an organized fashion...no hit or miss...works every time! develop a program and stick to it
and somewhere in the mix,
have a sheet with two columns, with one side titled 'inside the box' and the other titled 'outside the box' and then have another sheet again with two columns, with one side titled 'with glass half empty' and the other titled 'with glass half full' so that your sub-conscious mind may be prompted to look beyond boundaries and to look from all angles...no need to actually fill out the columns, it is for the sub-conscious mind to do that work...
another benefit of doing Goal Atomizer
is that by writing down your ideas in such a organized and comprehensive fashion, your mind gets freed up. That's because you now know that you have the idea written down, you know where to find it in the Goal Atomizer, and because you have developed a routine of constantly referring to the Goal Atomizer, you know you will not forget it...
your to-do list
Now, take a separate sheet, and this will be your to-do list...and on it, you will write the things to-do that you come up with, after you have run the exercise...keep that sheet at the front of the binder...and revise it every time you do the exercise
do your to-do items as quickly as you can and then go back to your Goal Atomizer and get some more
if there are items that you have done that have not gone so well as expected, then add these obstacles as more items, that need to be overcome, on your Goal Atomizer.
the sheet dividers
can be used to help you find sub-goals more quickly and at the front of Goal Atomizer, an index page might prove helpful..
oh! after a while Goal Atomizer will be quite large...say about ten main goals with each of these having sub goals and sub,sub goals...it may grow to be several hundred pages...and take you about an hour to quickly browse through it all every once a week or so...
and as your Goal Atomizer gets larger, your time constraints may make it so that you might want to split up the reading of it
for example, on Mondays, you may focus on 'optimum health' goal and then, on Wednesdays, you may focus on 'making yourself more attractive' goal...and so that is why each goal needs to be comprehensive and independent of the other goals
so make each goal independent...
that is...say that goal for optimum health has a sub-goal of losing fifteen pounds... and also that goal for making yourself more attractive also has that sub-goal of losing fifteen pounds...
you will want to make it so that both of those goals have that sub-goal in their dossier...I know it's redundant, but it doesn't hurt to have repetitions of those kind...
also, for each goal, on yet another sheet,
list all the benefits
that your will enjoy from succeeding to attain the goal...this will strengthen your resolve to attain it.
As you progress in this exercise, with time,
you will think of more and more items
that you can add to the list, wherever in the mix, that it may go...that is why a three ring binder is great for this, because you can add items anywhere in the chain at any time.
also, any pertinent notes that you accumulate may be placed in the appropriate spot...as well as inspirational quotes and photos
as you do this exercise, you start always with the main goal, and browse through all the sub-items, with the intent of further breaking down the list...you won't always come up with new ideas but the exercise of doing it is what you benefit from...also, the sub-conscious mind is always at work even when you are not doing this exercise...sometimes you will wake up in the middle of the night with an idea...or when making love to your spouse...or your neighbor's spouse! hahaha!...
there are really great tips on how to word your goals in the Sedona Method
one of your items may be
spiritual things that you can do
to help you achieve your goal...so whatever faith you belong to...do that which they recommend as one of your to-do things...
Me? I use the Alpha Omega Jappa Meditation daily and I offer to you, Oh kindest people! to try it.
do some stress-buster, also, to break through the work of it as well as taking a walk or yoga stretches or both...
your mind will always be very focused on your goals and why you have them.
why you have them is important too!
My goals have been linked to God's Algorithm since 1988...it's silly... I know ...that the stuff I do... is to impress three girls that I knew for only a short while thirty years ago...stranger things have been know to happen?...if you can think of one please let me know...
Oh! I have the normal motivations too, like bettering my children and myself but somehow nothing drives me like God's Algorithm...it's the kindness that those girls had shown to me back then, that I think drives me the most...really awesome!
anyway...I digress...why you have your goals are extremely important to the process
you might find from this, that the goal you chose, won't get you what you really wanted...and so you might revise your goals from time to time...so why you have the goal is so important to keep in mind!
It is common knowledge, that
people who write down their goals
stand a much greater chance of achieving them. The Goal Atomizer takes it a whole lot deeper. As was mentioned earlier, even things to do which you have judged to be lame, may prove to be actually good! With time, as you progress on this exercise, you will develop a very open mind to the opportunities that make themselves available to you, where you might not have noticed it otherwise.
Opportunity knocks louder with Goal Atomizer!
For example, have you ever noticed how, when you decide to buy a certain model car, how all of a sudden, you notice them everywhere? The difference is that now, you are experiencing a heightened awareness because you are thinking of buying one...those same cars would have been there but you would not have noticed them otherwise.
and so it is with this 'Goal Atomizer' because your opportunities will be there whether you notice them or not...using the Goal Atomizer will assure that you will notice them...
also, Divine Intervention will have an easier time of helping you because of the Goal Atomizer.
I would recommend to anyone who wants to get serious with this, that they set aside a half an hour per day, probably best in the early morning, light some candles, have some water to dab on your forehead, and do some meditating to help clear the mind and then work the exercise intermittently with the meditation...make it a very spiritual thing for you.
Oh kindest people! this information that I share with you came from the same source as God's Perpetual Motion See-saw,
The Alpha Omega Jappa Meditation, The Stress-Buster, Kingdom of Heaven Within, Free-Flow Hymnal Meditation, The Levitation Meditation and the Aya Meditation...
back in 2004, as I began writing Vinnie the Shrink , I invoked Master Psycho-Analyst Genius of the Universe to help me write the story. Perhaps this Goal Atomizer is a direct result of that invocation and also, within Vinnie the Shrink, you will find a detailed account of how God's Algorithm came to be.
As always, it is my deepest pleasure to share this with you...I thank God every day for the opportunity to help and for His Guidance.
thank you and enjoy!
and may this exercise make you
Supremely Happy
